Event - MCAS Miramar

In May of 2009 Semper Ride premiered at USMC Air Station Miramar in San Diego, California. The film was made in an effort to reduce the number of motorcycle related Marine fatalities, which, in recent years, has been higher than the number of fatalities seen in combat.

A team of action sport filmmakers, athletes and risk management leaders produced the 60-minute film, which delivers a responsible riding theme, instructional material and mentoring from the motorcycle industry’s most talented riders. “Semper Ride is first and foremost about saving lives. By bringing together several of the top riders, educational experts and latest production tools we’ve created an incredibly compelling film that is built on an action sports foundation but that delivers a high level responsible riding theme in a very inspirational and entertaining way.” says Dirk Collins, Director of Semper Ride.
The Miramar event was the Marine Corps premier of the film and included a post film expo that further delivered a responsible riding message through live Street and Freestyle Motocross demonstrations, industry manufacturers and many local vendors.
