Standard, or “naked” motorcycles, are the most generic of all bikes.  They are the basic fundamental framework for which all other types of motorcycles are created.  No fancy fairings or aerodynamic panels here.

Standard motorcycles are designed to be functional and comfortable while still being able to perform.  However, don’t let the term “standard” fool you.  Many of the advanced standard bikes have the power and maneuverability of a sport bike.

Popular Uses

COMMUTING

Standard bikes are one of the best categories of motorcycle for commuting. With the agility of a sport bike, and a more comfortable upright riding position, you have the best of both worlds.

TOURING

Throw on some soft or hard shell bags on a standard bike and you have a nice set-up for short to long tours. Once again, the more comfortable position of a standard bike allows for hours in the saddle. Test your bikes comfort on a shorter ride first!

TRACK RIDING

Many standard bikes these days are just naked versions of their sport bike cousins with a more comfortable riding position. With their sport bike technology, they truly are a wolf in sheep’s clothing and can deliver a great day at the track.
