Rain Gear

A good set of rain riding gear is a must have, especially if your bike is your primary source of transportation.  Rain gear should fit comfortably over your riding gear, but should still be snug enough as not to excessively flap while riding.  They are typically two-piece, waterproof, and are made with material that resists rips and tears at high wind speeds.  Also, bright colors are recommended since motorcycles are even less visible to drivers in foul weather.

Tank Bags

With sport bikes storage for personal items is always an issue.  A good tank bag allows you to bring everything you need to get through your day.  They are basically customized, nylon backpacks that have a non-slip backing with magnets that allows it to stay secure.  Many come with backpack straps so it can easily be removed and carried around.

Rider-to-Rider Communication/Bluetooth

There are many types of innovative hands-free communication devices that can be fitted into almost any helmet.  Some available features are: rider-to-rider intercom with voice activation and/or push to talk capabilities. Some have up to a 2-mile range and can be fully integrated with the helmet or simply clipped on.

Bike Stand/Lift

Motorcycles are difficult to clean and properly inspect while on their kickstand.  Simplify your maintenance with a bike stand or a lift.  They are usually durably constructed and are designed to keep the bike stable.  Make sure the stand you’re looking at will fit your bike, though.
